The lamp is well made and the base is very heavy, making the lamp very stable. The lamps have separate switches in a single unit at just right height. Easy to assemble and look good.
For the cost we were pleasantly surprised. The lamp shade is then loose and can be easily knocke particularly with low ceilings. You need two of these for a table lamp to clamp the shade above and below and it would be sensible to do the same for ceiling lamps too.
